The Nature of Yoga: Observing stillness in your practice

Nature, like yoga, is a clear mirror that reflects our inner capacity for stillness and peace. I was reminded of this truth last month, when after a long and bare winter, I left Vancouver city for a weekend on the southern gulf island of Salt Spring Island, with the intent to “reconnect with nature.”

Such a beautiful article! And so apt as the sun is out and we can connect daily with the natural abundance all around us.

It reminds me of the first sutra from Patanjali’s ‘Yoga Sutras’ –

    ‘Atha yoganushasanam’ ~ (YS 1:1)
(Thus proceeds Yoga as I have observed it in the natural world.)
